  • Junior High & High School: 11:30 AM

These Faculty In-Service days are a key component in the ongoing development and improvement of the curriculum at Illinois Lutheran.

Christmas Break Starts Early

Due to the concern of the rising Coronavirus case numbers in Illinois, Illinois Lutheran Schools has made the decision to begin our Christmas Break early this year for all grades, Preschool – 12th Grade. The last full day of school (with regular release times) before Christmas Break begins will be Friday, December 18. School will still resume on Tuesday, January 5. This will give us a full two weeks for rest and sanitation measures.

We thank God for blessing our schools and allowing us to continue to offer in-person instruction. As we all know, the situation regarding the pandemic is fluid. We appreciate all of our Illinois Lutheran families as you continue to show grace and patience throughout this school year.

Sports Update

Due to the governor’s orders and moving the state of Illinois into Tier 3 restrictions, the IHSA has paused all practices and open gyms. Therefore, all of our basketball practices and strength and speed training sessions are put on hold until we are allowed to continue.  We thank everyone for their participation and pray we can get back to these activities as soon as possible.

Strength and speed training is not able to meet in person, but that will not stop us from working hard. We will be continuing the training sessions by providing workout sheets for those students interested in the program. Students will also be able to check-in with the coaches by using the Google Meet code “lifting” if they need help or to talk to a coach. Students should talk to Mr. Lash or Mr. Rick to get their work out sheet.

Questions? Contact Mr. Nate Hinz at nhinz@ilhs.org.
