The Charger Parents Association (CPA) is a group of parents and other interested individuals who support the mission of our school system by providing fellowship activities for students, families, and faculty. These include sponsoring performances for the students and faculties; sponsoring outside speakers for the students, faculty, and families; and supporting programs such as the Elementary School Christmas service, the Forensics Meet, Grandparents Day, Ice Cream Social, and Teacher Appreciation Month. They have also supported larger projects in the past including projects related to school student safety and school beautification.
The funding for this group comes mainly from two sources. The first is by sponsoring the elementary school’s weekly Pizza Day. The second is by sponsoring the school system’s SCRIP program. This program not only supports the work of the CPA but it also provides tuition rebates for families that use the program.
All CPA Meetings are held in the gym at the grade school, located at 448 Cass Street in Crete, IL.

Pizza Day: We are looking for parent volunteers to help on Mondays serving pizza for lunch from 11:00-12:30. Please sign up on VolunteerSpot using the link below.
Wednesday Morning Moms is now CPA Helping Hands! You no longer have to be available on Wednesday mornings in order to assist an ILES teacher with classroom preparation tasks. You now can volunteer to assist a teacher by using the Take Home A Bag or In-School Bag. So come on into the office to sign out a teacher’s bag to work on while you catch up on some of your favorite shows or spend some time in the office completing a teacher’s bag when you have some time to volunteer. If you have any questions about CPA Helping Hands, please contact Amy Gilliam by calling the grade school office at 708-672-5850.
